The most helpful thing you can do before our arrival is clear the floors in every room being cleaned. This means picking up toys, shoes, pet bowls, floor lamps, magazine racks, and any small furniture you can comfortably lift. At the end of the season, a final clean before close-up means the cottage spends the winter with carpets free of summer's lake sand, sunscreen residue, and tracked-in dirt.
Secure dogs, cats, and other pets in a room that is not being cleaned, or arrange for them to be outside during the appointment. Open doors, hose movement, and equipment noise can startle animals, and keeping them separated protects both your pets and our technicians. Country dogs in particular often want to greet visitors at the truck, so a closed door is the safest choice.
A light vacuum before our arrival removes loose surface debris like pet hair, crumbs, and tracked-in dirt from Nipissing Village's gravel roads and lakeside trails.
